In 2011, to assess readiness of the Russian population for a potential HIV prevention vaccine, Scientific Research Institute for Sociology of Medicine, Economics of Healthcare and Medical Insurance conducted a sociological research in Moscow, together with the Russian Institute of Immunology. The survey covered 416 respondents, most of whom expressed readiness for HIV vaccination if such vaccine was available.
