Overdose: A Major Cause of Preventable Death in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Though overdose related death is preventable, it remains one of the leading causes of death among people who inject drugs. The Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN), to mark Overdose Awareness Day, August 31 (2008), has created a report highlighting the situation in our region (Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan) and making recommendations for action.
