These guidelines are intended for journalists reporting on HIV and related issues. The guide highlights pitfalls to avoid, suggests suitable language for reporting this sensitive issue and identifies key sources for further information. 'Guidelines for Reporting HIV: Supplementary information' is additional information focussing on the reality and language around HIV in the context testing, misconceptions about needles, biting and spitting and the myth of HIV health tourism.
