Attitude of general practitioners towards patients with HIV: sociological understanding of social distance (talking points)

To assess the quality of medical services for HIV-positive patients, a survey among general practitioners was conducted in Moscow in 2010 by the Department of Sociology of Medicine, Economics of Healthcare and Medical Insurance of the Sechenov Medical University. The survey assessed awareness of doctors (197 respondents) about HIV, prevention programs and the problem of social distancing from HIV-positive patients.
