In 2019, in Netherlands, 48% of people newly diagnosed with HIV were considered late diagnoses. Epidemiological data from the Netherlands show that people who are diagnosed late constitute a highly diverse group, including heterosexual men and women, as well as those who perceive themselves as belonging to an older generation of men who have sex with men (MSM).
