Objectives
The conference aims at:
- sharing scientific knowledge and experience in the field of communicable diseases surveillance, prevention and control in Europe and internationally;
- strengthening and expanding the professional network of all involved in this field;
- providing a dedicated platform for EPIET, FETP (field epidemiology training programme) and EUPHEM (European Public Health Microbiology Training Programme) fellows to showcase their work.Abstracts are welcomed in all areas related to applied infectious diseases.
Audience
The target audience for the conference includes epidemiologists, microbiologists, clinicians, veterinarians and public and environmental health experts with a professional and scientific interest in infectious disease surveillance, microbiology and associated disciplines, and their application to prevention and control of communicable diseases.The conference aims at bringing together several groups of people involved in these areas including representatives from EU/EEA National Public Health Institutes, members of Surveillance and disease-specific networks, and EPIET/FETP/EUPHEM fellows and alumni. The audience also includes governmental, non-governmental and academic researchers from across Europe and the globe.
