AAE STEERING COMMITTEE NEWS

Welcome to our Steering Committee, Julia Godunova and Marios Atzemis!

Marios works as harm reduction officer at the Greek Association of People Living with HIV "Positive Voice" and Julia is the director of EVA Association.

EVA Association has representatives in more than 40 cities in Russia. We analyse the effectiveness of government funding for prevention programmes and write proposals for the community to amend legislation that discriminates people living with HIV.

For Respectful Burials of
People living with HIV
in the Republic of Serbian

In the end of 2019, USOP (Union of organisations of people living with HIV and AIDS in Serbia), an AAE member organisation, asked for our support to stop the disrespectful treatment of the remains of people with HIV in their country.

USOP pointed out that people with HIV who passed away were buried without their clothes in black plastic bags.

The economy of the wellbeing emphasises the interlinkage between economic growth and people’s well-being. Both are needed, and they reinforce one another. There are three policy domains fundamental in building the future of Europe:

Wellbeing in all policies,
Equality and basic rights and
Participation in society and dynamic civil society

Femifesto in Support of Sex Workers' Rights

The present manifesto has been drafted on the occasion of the International Women’s Day (8th of March) by sex workers, feminists and sex workers’ rights activists from Europe. The drafting process has been coordinated by the International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe.

The signatories of this online manifesto, who are women’s rights, feminist, and sex workers’ rights organisations and collectives, express support for sex workers’ self-determination and the recognition of sex work as work.

The AIDS Action Europe Clearinghouse is an online platform where NGOs, policy makers, networks and other stakeholders in Europe and Central Asia can share key documents and good practice materials. Check out more materials at hivaidsclearinghouse.eu

The European AIDS Action Network was established in 2004, has continued to develop and has become one of the largest networks working in the field of HIV infection in the region. The network goes far beyond the borders of the European Union and covers all 53 countries in Europe and Central Asia.
