HIV and human rights in refugee settings

by W. Holmes

The article discusses vulnerability to HIV among groups displaced by armed conflict. It is argued that a human rights framework provides a useful basis for understanding and addressing this vulnerability. For instance, such a framework can inform crucial confidentiality around testing. It can also inform discussions in refugee communities to address (upset) gender roles and relations.
