The scientific programme of the 8th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention aims to provide new insights into HIV disease development, biomedical prevention, clinical care that can lead to novel research directions and help translate theoretical advances into clinical and prevention practice while building evidence for successful programme operations and implementation. The Scientific Programme Committee is dedicated to ensuring that the content will be relevant to today’s questions, including addressing the challenges of expanding treatment and prevention in resource-limited settings. An additional priority is ensuring that the presentations focus on the latest HIV science and its practical applications for public and individual health in the context of where the epidemic will be in 2015.
