This handbook has been developed in the framework of the project TUBIDU: Empowering the Public Health System and Civil Society to Fight the Tuberculosis Epidemic among Vulnerable Groups. This European Union (EU) project is funded by the “Programme of Community Action in the Field of Health (2008-2013)” and includes seven participating organizations from six EU countries. Five collaborating partners are also included in this project, all of them from non-EU countries. The general objective of the TUBIDU project is to contribute to the prevention of injecting drug use and HIV-related TB epidemic
in the project area. The strategic objectives include empowering the public health system and civil society and enhancing the collaboration of various stakeholders in the field in order to tackle TB.
