AIDS Action Europe is primarily a civil society network. If you don't represent a civil society ("third sector") organisation in Europe or Central Asia that is working in the field of HIV/AIDS, you cannot become a member of AIDS Action Europe.
However, you can connect to our network by becoming a partner. Partnership is open to "first" and "second" sector organisations that are active in the field of HIV/AIDS in Europe and/or Central Asia, including:
Our partners need to share the mission and ethical code of AIDS Action Europe. This type of partnership is established by an endorsed partnership agreement on our website.
Partnership benefits
The EU funded projects profiled on our website are HIV and AIDS related projects that are funded by the European Commission. Most of them receive funding from the 1st or 2nd EU Public Health Programme, others receive funding from other EU programmes, such as the Research Programme or the Drug Prevention and Information Programme. They all have in common that they work in the field of HIV in Europe and are funded by the European Commission. They don’t necessarily have a formalised working relation with AIDS Action Europe, although it is well possible that some organisations involved in these projects are also a member or partner of AIDS Action Europe.
EU funded projects receive a page on our website to profile their project: Project Profile. The profile includes items such as duration of the project, objectives, lead & associated partners and methodologies applied. The user account also provides access to the HIV/AIDS clearinghouse for the exchange of materials.
