From 14-16 April the AIDS Action Europe steering committee met in Kiev for its biannual meeting. The steering committee discussed a number of issues, including:

- The AIDS Action Europe strategy 2010-2014, including challenges and opportunities; mission and long term goals; and key strategic directions and partnerships.
- AIDS Action Europe communications issues, including a presentation of a new and improved house style, which will be introduced soon.
- Project “ROST” – Responding to HIV through Organisational Support and Technical Cooperation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. AIDS Foundation East-West will be implementing the project and project coordinator Liza Berezina presented the plans.
- Advocacy through the HIV/AIDS Civil Society Forum and Think Tank. The last CSF was held on 4 May and discussed among others the implementation of the new EU Communication and action plan.
- AIDS Action Europe’s relation and work with other institutions such as WHO Europe, Global Fund, UNAIDS, ECDC, ICASO and HIV in Europe.The activities that AIDS Action Europe is planning to organize at the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna.
