The most important needs of CFPA are: The recognition of SRHR by the State as a basic human right for all. The need for family planning services to be available and an accessible and affordable manner. The establishment of a strategy on Sexuality Education.
CFPA is the leading authority in SRHR; through lobbying and networking promotes SRHR including HIV/AIDS. Offers informational, educational and clinical services and runs a helpline. Implements programs related to Sexuality, Gender Equality and Youth Empowerment.
CFPA is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Aids Action Europe, Aids and Mobility Network and Astra Youth.CFPA through networking with other organisations contributed to the law change in reference to homosexuality. Presently is involved in the establishment of an all party Parliamentary Group on Population and Development.
