In the field of HIV prevention, Germany has achieved notable results and has developed many innovative approaches that have gained international recognition. This year will see the 25th anniversary of Germany's first efforts to fight HIV and AIDS in its development cooperation activities.

The main topics of discussion will be:

  • linkage between sexual education and sexual and reproductive health and rights
  • harm reduction among injecting drug users
  • role of civil society


The conference will bring together a diversity of stakeholders, including:

  • leading representatives of partner governments
  • high-level national and international experts
  • representatives of civil society
  • academia
  • representatives of the private sector
