As a civil society partnership we depend on grants and contributions from individuals; foundations; and public & private organisations. Without this support, we would not be able to exist!
We welcome your financial contributions and are looking forward to work with you to build a fruitful relationship. Civil society organisations are internationally recognised and valued for the wide range of knowledge, skills and experience they bring to the HIV/AIDS response – also in Europe and Central Asia. In our 7 years of existence, we have worked to unite all this valuable knowledge and expertise and have grown to be one of the largest civil society networks in the region. Therefore, by supporting us, you could make a real difference.
We will be pleased to inform you on our work and our current funding. Our core activities are ‘Advocacy and Public Policy Dialogue’ and ‘Linking and Learning’. These two are interconnected. Through advocacy on a global, European, and national level, we influence policy development. Our role as co-chair of the the Civil Society Forum ensures that the voices of NGO’s are heard by policy makers. Through linking and learning we facilitate an exchange of experience, knowledge and inspiration between our members in the wider European and Central Asian region. One of our key mechanisms to facilitate this is our HIV/AIDS Clearinghouse: the central database on HIV and AIDS for our region.
In addition to our core activities we are currently running a three-year project: ROST - Responding to HIV through Organisational Support and Technical cooperation. The aim of ROST (which means ‘growth’ in Russian language) is to strengthen networking, advocacy and resource mobilization in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. This project has key components like a needs assessment, a training seminar, and a small grants programme for civil society organisations on the ground.
Please contact Martine de Schutter to discuss the sponsor opportunities.
